Deciding between 2010 GT500 and 2SS/RS - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey all,
I have checked this website everyday since i saw the camaro concept back in 2006. I finally after a few years had the opportunity to own a SS. I was hard pressed in between a 2010 GT500 with 7,000 miles and buying a brand new 2011 2SS/RS both about the same price (39,000) for the options I wanted.

It actually amazed me how different the two cars were. I felt the camaro was a much better built car, much more comfortable for a daily driver and a much tighter feel than the shelby was.
I ended up purchasing a 2011 VR 2SS/RS with a factory hurst shifter, because one of the main things I did appreciate about the shelby was the throw on the shelby. I feel that I did make the right choice between the two cars.
I wasn't sure how to come into contact with other local camaro owners, I currently live in San Marcos, TX.

I will be taking delivery tomorrow

no offense but these are two totally different cars.although the shelby is an animal,i would have chosen the camaro also.But theres something to be said for a car as fast as the shelby.
