Question MRT questions

I need some help/ advise from those of you with the MRT exhausts. I've decided that MRT is the way I want to go and I really like loud exhaust so I'm leaning more towards the v.1, but my only worry is will it bother my daughter? She is a little over one year old and rides with me sometimes. How loud is the v.1 inside the car and would it bother her? would I be better off doing the v.2? Or would I be ok with the v.1? Thanks in advance!!!

They are similar sounding when on the throttle. But when just cruising the 1.0's are louder than the 2.0's with more drone.

I like my 2.0's because I can drive around the sub division without much noise, but when I get on the road and open it up I have the loudness I want.

IMHO.........and good luck.........welcome to TEAM MRT soon.

I have MRT V2 and I'm with RT comments. Been in V1 car and I'd say big difference.

I have the MRT V1.0 Welded on. Yes there is drone, if you dont want that get the MRT V2.0. My car only services me and sometimes my wife. So its a 50 /50. Yea, get the 2.0 you will be happy =].

Op definitely get V1. Personally i like loud, but thats just me. I had v1 on my 1LT before i traded it her in for a 2SS. I'll be honest v1 is loud inside the cabin when u first install but within time the in cabin drone will mellow down quite a bit but will only make the outside rumble deeper. I would suggest if u do get v1 to break in the exhaust first and then have ur baby in the car since drone will be very minimal.

Both my kids love the exhaust, they pass out and fall asleep all the time, Now its getting them out without waking them up is the real issue, if you still truely think you will have an issue, you could always line your trunk with dynomat or fatmat, it will displace someof the exhaust sound and an added bonus your radio will sound a bit better as well

Thanks guys! This has really helped me out. I was leaning more towards the v1. But after reading all of this it looks like I should go more towards the v2 since I have a little girl. This is why I love camaro5. You can't get info like this anywhere else! Thanks again!

I have the v1 and also have done the resonator delete and I have my 15mo son in the car all the time and it does not bug him at all. its not that bad unless you really stomp on the gas and when i do he get a smile on his face. but then again every kid is different.

I have the MRTv2 and I am super happy with it. It's quiet enough at cruise speeds but if I get my foot into it, it sounds great. Not raspy or ricey.

My 3 y.o. goddaughter hated it. She kept whining that it was loud, but she had also been involved in a car accident a few days earlier so she was on edge anyway. I suppose it depends on the child and their tolerance of noise.
