Vredestein or Nitto invo?
Well I've been doing my research on wheels and tires and I think I've decided on Forgestar F14's 20x9.5 front and 20x10.5 rears! I'm just not decided on tires yet so I'm looking for some help deciding!
I would like either the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas's or Nitto Invos in 275/40's on front and 315/35's rear. What I'm looking for is first hand experience with either of these tires. Vendors please chime in with your expertise and the rest please first hand experience only! Looks to me that both brands are close in their specs but have totally different designs. The Invos have asymetrical ribs and blocks while the Vredesteins have a cool looking pattern to them. Most of my driving is weekend spirited street and I'm thinking of doing 1 or 2 track days next summer! I'm looking for quiet, comfortable riding summer performance tires but also handle well dry and wet. Thanks for your help! |

I don't have any personal experience with either of these tires. However, i have been looking into Forgestar F14's 20inch size for myself and nitto invos as well. Honestly, i think its the best way to go. Once you get the rims could you send me the pictures of them off and on your vehicle? Tires too please

I did some research on the Vresdestein's and came up with alot of good reviews from some Corvette forums. They liked them over the Invos for a better price. If some of those uppity bastages give them good reviews they cant be all bad...

I'm running INVOs (245s on the front and 315s on the back). It's a softer tire than the stock Pirelli, and the ride is great for daily driving. The 315s really hook up at the track, even at a normal PSI. The only down side is that they will wear a little quicker because of the soft tread.

I'm not totally useless..

Remember that they are primarily designed for SUV's (even the ones without SUV in the name) and will be heavier than the Invo's. This is designated by the XL (extra load) after the size (Extra Load= extra plies= extra weight). Plus, when you cut a tire that much (siping) it will get noisy over time as the leading edges cup due to flexing of the treadblock (yes, I was in the business for what seemed like forever). I know they have come a long way since I was in the biz but every Vredestein I have driven on was noisy....

We've had good luck with the Invo's on our cars. It's a great balanced tire and the unique look of the tread grabs some good attention. We run the 295's on the rear and it feels great whatever we throw at them.
The other brand I don't have any experience on them. |

Go with Nittos. Not sure about everyone else but it always irks me when guys have thousand dollar wheels and ten cent tires. I never understood, when tires mean so much to performance, why guys would fork over $5000+ for wheels and then find the absolute cheapest tire to wrap around them.

I like your thinking. Tires should be the most important investment on your car. When some idiot pulls out in front of you and you have to make a split second decision to safe your life, you better hope your tires are up for the challenge. |

Just because you've never heard of them, doesn't mean Vredestein is a .10 tire. They are european, and a quick google search will bring up good reviews. The OP didn't mention anything about $$$. http://g35driver.com/forums/3851343-post39.html
