iPad and Custom Sub setup!!!!
This is what the radio shop down the road from me fabbed up. Integrates an iPad in the dash with aftermarket heat/air controls and sub box that fits in the spare tire well. I found this very convenient because you can still use the truck! Let me know what you think! The company is American Radio by the way.
The middle picture is unfinished, just shows how much room you still have. For more pictures of the entire build, visit the following link http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...4952455&type=1

This car pounded too and still had plenty of trunk room! His first setup was huge and took up most of the trunk, well the new system is smaller and louder haha.

If you visit the facebook link, there are some more pictures. This is not my car, I am just really good friends with the company. If you have any questions, call their number on the facebook page and ask for scott. He's a genius with that stuff!

Looks like a hacked up Metra kit behind the iPad. Great job, though. I would definitely like something like that myself.

Can I ask what the point of having the Ipad was? Is it integrated into the radio system so you could control everything from it? Or is it more of like a holding spot for it? I went through all the pictures trying to figure out why go through all the trouble, if you can't use it with the stereo or ac system, other than to play music.

Yes it was custom built for the customer. The iPad is easily released and portable.

The stock unit was taken out and replaced with an alpine unit. You would probably mainly use your saved mp3s from the ipad for music so the head unit would rarely be touched, only to insert a cd or adjust settings.
