Per their website:
AS OF 1/12/12 DALLAS RACEWAY IS NOW CLOSED FOR BUSINESS

I'm kinda bummed. I made it over there twice late last year and really liked the facility. I'm still only 8 miles down the road from Texas Motorplex, so maybe they'll open the gates up a little bit more now since Dallas Raceway is closed?

I heard that the owner had to sell it because of a divorce, but someone bought it so we will see what happens. *crossing my fingers*

that sucks, we have no race tracks here, closest track is 2 hours away in NH

I heard that it will be turned into a Junk Yard.. I don't know if it's true or not (God, I hope not).

Sad to see a track get closed...they seldom pop back up again in our world of lawyers and lawsuits.

Wow, Crandall was already a far enough drive. Now we're screwed for dragstrips out this way.

to hard economic times and financial reasons

I guess we always have north star in Denton of course its only 1/8 mile where crandall is 1/4

Take away the tracks and back roads will take the business.
