Mine did, and the dealer I took it to said there was a fresh TSB for it. It's taken them 3 days, though :( and I have to drive this super basic fleet Silverado around. Yikes. Give me my baby back already!

yea there was a tsb to reprogram the bcm in order to prevent the a/c from breaking. most likely yours broke and now they have to do the full repair.

I had to have the compressor replaced twice already

Same with me, last year though.............I rarely use my A/C either...........they repaired it 3 times, 3rd was a charm...........

I traded in my last car because of a/c breaking. If this happens to mine I will NOT be a happy camper!

my other GM vehicle is in the shop right now with a leak..

anyone have the TSB or more info on this?

Yikes, some of you have some horror stories. I hope this problem isn't reoccurring for me. If it is, they better give me something better to drive hah.

Appears the whole compressor went out. I'm going tomorrow and asking for a different rental... this Silverado's not cutting it.

Finally got my baby back Friday. Thank the Lord my A/C works now!

They brought in a whole new compressor, hoses, and some seals. Glad to be back in my ride.

Hi, my ac is out to. Did the dealership give you a rental, is that something bumper to bumper covers?

mine did, be happy you got a rental...... I didn't. Now that I think about it, they should of compensated for it.

Yes, fully covered by warranty.

My AC stopped working yesterday. Guess I'll ask about the rear end making the grinding noise on tight, low speed turns while I'm there. 8k miles, so far I'm not really impressed.
