CNT RACING 3" CATBACK- REVIEW
Hi,
I had searched for a while to see if there was any feedback on the CNT Racing 3" cat back system for the V8 and I didn't really find much. I decided to order the system for my own Camaro and see how it stood up to the many name brand aftermarket systems we install here at Lethal Racing. I believe this is the best review of this brand to-date here are the basics: $450 shipped- Not availible through Lethal Racing.com yet, but can be ordered and installed by Lethal Racing 3" cat back that bolts up to the factory connections 304 stainless very nice band clamps nice looking welds stainless mufflers and tips includes drop trunnel brace sounds great! Deep tone looks like we will be installing these at Lethal Racing now Last edited by BLACK10; 05-27-2012 at 04:51 PM. |

What exhaust does it most compare to in you guy's opinion? Sounds good. I would be interested as long as the drone isn't terribly bad.

I would say it is very close to the B&B or the MBRP exhaust

Drone is kind of subjective. What one person calls drone another might call normal exhaust sound. I would say there is some interior resonance but that can vary from each car and setup

I am interested but I am still running stock manifolds and cats. Any clips of what it would sound like with otherwise stock setup?

This was the first catback I installed on my car. The drone on the interstate was horrible and I took it off almost immediately. Since then, I've had the Kooks Street Sleeper, Corsa, and Magnaflow Street Series. The only one that didn't drone was the Corsa, but I didn't like the sound of it driving around town. The drone from the Kooks and Magnaflow are not near as bad as the CNT. I have yet to find a catback that I'm 100% satisfied with.

Any plan to install on a stock car? At 450 I am very tempted, but I drive 300 miles a week on the highway and drone would be bad.

I have been running the CNT Racing cat back on my car for almost a year and I love it. I do hear a drone but I've never had a car with a 3" exhaust that didn't.

Looks really nice. I don't like the tags on the exhaust tips though...but the system looks like it fits nicely.
