Can't spin the tires loose on my '12 SS...

EDIT: Post #5 answered my question.

from a 1st gear roll(manual). Bought the car with 18 miles, it now has 400. Is this normal? I figured I would be able to spin the tires when "gunning" it from a first gear roll. Turned off traction control. Did the fuse pull, too.

Straight line and starting from a roll with the clutch already out, you won't be able to on a dry road. The PZeros on the SS are really sticky. You need to build some revs and dump the clutch.

I know I can spin them with the clutch involved, but I thought the car had enough balls to spin them from a slow roll in first gear.

Nope, the tires are pretty sticky. My Dodge Ram fries them better from a dead stop to tell you the truth.

Wasn't able to do it until my cam/bolt on package was added which added 22% more rwhp over my stock baseline. And to be honest as hot and dry as it is right now I'm not sure what I'd get even with my extra power. This is a heavy load of car and with the 3:45's out back - she doesn't really start ripping the tires from a dead stop or slow roll without some clutch action.

Wait until the weather cools down.

P-Zeros suck in cold weather (cold tires and cold street), but they grip great in warm conditons (warm tire and warm street).

When winter comes you'll be getting sideways trying to keep the car on the road.

With only 400 miles on it I don't think you should be even trying to spin the tires. The engine and drivetrain are not broken in and you are risking premature failure and possible warranty questions.

I couldn't spin them on demand either until I did the gears...I can vouch for 4.10+...A lot of people say 3.91's do the trick too

I respectfully disagree with this. Plus, I've gunned it very rarely and never dropped the clutch.
