Front end weight reduction DIY
This is a pretty simple mod that knocks off a good chunk of weight on the front end, and funny enough also improves the smell around your engine bay. Funny how Chevy does things.
First, you'll have to lift the front end up for easier access underneath the car into the engine bay; I just got some cheap 2 ton jack and jack stands from Autozone. Next, you'll have to take the front end off, which requires removing the wheel well liners and then taking care of around 12 or screws connecting the front bumper. Picture is of a buddy helping. Now that you have the front end off, we'll focus in on the plastic piece on the bottom of the front; it was right behind the lower grill face. Remove the dead bird. Close her back up, and youre good to go! I havent tracked her yet, but I'm expecting some nice gains. Good luck to you all! |

We replaced Taintedveins' grill at mod day last month, and found the same "dead" weight in his as well.
