Well this isn't good...

Long story short, 3 blue LEDs in my driver side fog halo have shorted/burned out. The RGB LEDs are tri-chip and the red and green work fine. I usually run my halos dark orange or amber so it's not really a big deal, but now when I use any color that mixes with blue it looks horrible.

Now I'll have to get a new ring, remove the housing, cut it open, re-set the ring, wire/seal everything back to normal, and then re-install....

They have been on my car for several months and I use them about an hour a day average. I posted my video on 6/25 and lets say they went bad 9/25. That puts about 90 hours on them. Not quite what I expected but what can you do...

Im not sure what I'll do when I take them out. I've thought about an HID kit. I've heard they melt the housing or lens but mine is glass. I doubt I'll go back with halos in them.

I'm talking about the foglight housing. I've seen at least two threads on here. Your foglights are retro'ed HID?

I thought you might have been talking about your headlight retrofit. I remember you doing that a few months back.

If it's the resistors that went bad, Flashtech just released their v2's which I'm fixing to go with on my retrofit. The v2's have the resistors mounted to a seperate box rather than behind the ring as with the previous model. Just food for thought.

Yeah I was hoping for that but I thought if the resistor went bad it would cause the entire LED to fail and not just the blue chip. I could be wrong though.

Farley. That is 100% under warranty my friend. We can swap that out for you. And if you want to upgrade to the Fusion v2 halos with external resistors I can work you out a sweet deal my friend.
