WON'T START - pissed

What the CRAP! 330 miles on the car, 7 days old and it won't start. I have power to the car, but none to the starter. This morning is made a horrible sound(short/crackeling) when starting and then started. I restarted wiithout problems, but then later when I tried it again......nothing!
This car had the battery cable recal done at the factory and these symptoms are different then that problem.

Anyone else had this problem yet?

I'm sure it's a starter connection and I could do that myself.........BUT, this is a brand new car with "SO MUCH ATTENTION to quality." We have all waited through weeks of QA holds and blah blah letters from GM about the wait will be worth it because we'll be getting a better quality vehicle.
The dealership is sending a flatbed and they are getting it fixed. If I did it, feedback would never get back to GM, and they wouldn't have to pay for it.

You now my dealer told me to be very careful when putting the key in the ignition. He said any slight wiggle of the key will cause the car not to start. He said it is a safety feature if some one was shoving a screwdriver in the ignition it will not start. He said to be gentle with the key. It has to be reset because the car will not start..........FYI

Keys turns everything on, juts not the car. I have been extra carefull with everything. If what you're saying is the cause of my problems, everyone will be having this problem. Your dealers a goober.....without the chip that's in the key, the car won't start.

Not bashing you.. bashing your dealer.... "wiggling" the key fob as a reason your car will not start is just ridiculous.

How about EVERYONE throttle back a bit...

I'm sorry to see the camaro on the tow truck... that sucks...

Hope you get it back soon, and I agree, taking it back is the right move. Now GM will have a record of it..

Suck to be without the car... Keep us posted please.

Sorry about your car, as long as they get it fixed it's ok, hopefully they can correct it the first time and it will be a minor fix, loose bolt etc...I know it really sicks bad but maybe it will help someone down the road, Please let us all know what they find. Thanks

I posted this in case others had the problem and to report what the cause and solution is. I'll keep you posted. Went by the dealer and their computer had taken a dump, so they haven't been able to run the diagnostics yet.

Bashing the dealer.....not you SamsinSS

UPDATE - Problem found. There is a yellow wire that leads to the starter that has a clip type connector on the end. It was not pushed on complete until is "snaps." It's now installed correctly and all is good in the world again.
