I want to get rid of my ugly 20 inch wheels and put 16 inch weld wheels.
I want to get 16 inch wheels. I'd like to know part number for the weld wheels. I am swapping my SS brakes for the v6 brakes with a friend that has a v6

Weld doesn't make 16" wheels for our car.

Why the hell would you put smaller brakes on a more powerful car. You may want to rethink that.

Weld does not make the RT-S wheels in a 16" diameter, that is true. But not sure if they offer any other wheels in 16" that may fit??? I know that Bogart and CCW both make a 16" wheel that will fit over the V-6 brakes, but as far as I know....that is it!!!
Yes, lots of drag racers install the V-6 brakes on the rear of their V-8 cars which will allow the use of a select few 16" wheels. Smaller wheel = taller sidewall = better launch/more traction. And the smaller wheel = less rotating mass too! Not sure of the braking proportions on the 5th Gen, but typically, most braking is accomplished by the front brakes anyway.....especially on a "straight line" car. |

The v6 brakes stop these cars fine.
The brakes on the 15" on the other hand.... Let's hope it's not a size thing. They are tiny. |
