Camaro5 I need help

Good Morning Everyone,

So I believe my fuel pump went out on me. I was driving normally on the highway and everything is fine and then one second later I have no throttle response. I push down on the pedal, nothing. I shifted to neutral and the car immediatley died. I limped over to the shoulder and tried to restart my car, nothing. It cranks strong and fine, just wont start, it tries to and almost does but can't. I could not hear my fuel pump kick on when I turned the key to the ON position. Nothing is leaking. Nor does it smell like fuel. I still had 1/4 of a tank when this happened. I am only guessing fuel pump, or fuel delivery related.

Does anyone have any ideas? Hopefully I explained everything good.

My car is cammed and supercharged, aftermarket fuel system, by ETMC in Longview, so unfortunately it is a pretty far drive and I would have to trailer it. So I am attempting to diagnose it before I have to do that in case it is something easy.

Today I will be pulling out the back seat to see if I can hear the pump better. Does anyone know where I can get a FP gauge to test my fuel pressure at the rail?

Final question, Does anyone know someone in Tulsa, Oklahoma who knows these cars and knows high performance cars that can help me diagnose it? I am brand new to performance cars and have basic knowledge so any help would be appreciated, and I would also pay them for their time and help.

Thanks in advance! I am really needing some quick help and advice as this is my only vehicle at the moment.

Check all of your fuses under the hood to see if the related fuses (ignition) etc are getting power. You might want to check the fuel rails (remove the end screw cap), and press to see if you are getting fuel.to that point.

I would start there then go step by step. Doubt its the ecu but not 100% out of the question.keep us posted and gl.

if you can't figure it out, just take it to a good repair shop. maybe a custom engine place nearby... they'll figure it out even if it's modded.

takes 3 things to run: air, fuel, spark

Any auto parts store will have a fuel pressure tester. $45 or so at most

I am a new Camaro owner, didn't had time to check where is everything located, but when I had (well still have it) my Porsche 944, same thing happened, but is was raining hard at night no less, on I95, so I could not give a better look, called AAA, towed it back to my house, next morning...guess what? the cable the connects to the ECU got a little loose, plugged back in and started right up.

Engine/fuel should be covered under the power train warranty

You don't have that when you are cammed and blown

*Update

Tested the fuel pressure at the rail last night. zero pressure. Going to check the voltage at the pump. Does anyone know how to take the back seat cushions out of our cars?

I have already checked that fuse and its good. This is an aftermarket fuel pump with its own computer so thats why I need to check the voltage at the pump.

Maybe you'll get lucky and someone cut an access to the pump under t he back seat..If not, look in the diy section for how to info. ..If the fuel pump is the problem

Why not call up ETMC and ask their advice? If they did the work, I am sure they could help troubleshoot it over the phone, and maybe even recommend a place in Tulsa to take it to

ETMC made an access under the back seat. I have been troubleshooting with them as well. I just like to get opinions and advice from everyone (I have just basic knowledge) Figure help from multiple sources is better than one, and Camaro5 is a great source.
