Can you believe this???

As I wait for my Camaro to get here I have become more obsessed with it. Driving my wife a bit nuts you could say, prepping the garage, ordering parts, etc. My wife, being a German import sort of snob, thinks (thought) that Camaro’s were for high school kids with mullets and of course Joe Dirt.
Anyway, she was out of town on business this week, calls me when she gets to Denver and says “guess what kind of rental car they gave me?” You guessed it, she got a Camaro! And it wasn’t the V6 version either, she actually got a CGM 1SS. After my initial disappointment that she was getting to drive one of these cars before me, we talked about the car and she mentioned the heated seats…. Heated seats??? I ask her what color are the “SS” badges…of course she doesn’t know so she has to check, and snaps a quick pic while she’s at it. Sure enough, the badges were white, and sure enough, the seats were leather???
The point of the story is for the entire week I got text after text explaining how awesome the car was, how fun it was to drive, and how fast it was, and how every time she came out of a restaurant there were people looking at it. She is now totally excited about ours getting here. (As of right now it just left Tucson AZ. I am in San Diego so I am hopeful it will get here tomorrow) I texted her a reminder that she had referred to me as Joe Dirt for wanting the car, and in classic response she replied with “I’m your sister, I’m your sister” That will make sense to those who saw the movie.
As an aside, she got the rental from Budget. I was told Avis ordered a few 1SS with leather seats as a special order as this is obviously not an option for the public. Maybe Budget did too?

White SS Badges doesn't mean 1SS, it means it doesn't have the RS package. She must've gotten a 2SS.

Ask her if it's got the steering wheel controls. This would be a definate sign of a 2SS

doc, other than the part about her going out of town, it about sounded like a story about me and my wife. I have done some of the same things. She, my daughter and some of my grand kids tell me I am obsesed all the time. She even calls the garage the "nursery" lol.

That's awesome, though, that she got to change her perception of it before it comes to her husband -- Joe Dirt.

could be, I mean there was that recent uproar about Enterprise selling used Impalas w/o side impact airbags and advertising that they were included. They are a standard feature on all Impalas. However for fleet orders they could apparently remove them to save $150. Maybe Chevy's fleet ordering allows the addition of leather in a 1SS due to its "stain resistance" or some crap.

Don't I feel like a horses behind...I should have had her look for the 4 pack gauges. Those do not come on the 1SS correct?

BTW...My car left Wellton AZ at 0412 this morning...Fingers crossed she'll be here today!!!!

chevy may have done a 2ss with deletes....it's a fleet purchase so normal to us may not apply............
