Found a good deal on a pair of used 274/35/21 Pirellis.....both over 9/32" of tread, made in mid 2014 and (unfortunately) one "proper" plug/patch repair towards the center of one tire. Considering that these are around $500 each from TireRack, I can live with the one repair being that I'm getting the pair for $400.

Question is, where near Wichita can I get these things mounted? I've heard a few stories of some shops not wanting to touch used tires, and I also don't want some "Cleatus" screwing up my wheels either.

Try Becker Tire (http://www.beckertire.com/). I remember them having a good reputation when I was in high school...now they have multiple locations. You can call their shop to see if they'll install the tires you got someplace else, but they sell used tires so I know they work with them.
