BiggFooT's Procharger F-1X Build - 1062 HP on SBE
Well ladies and gents, I have contemplated starting this thread just to document the process of upgrading my 2010 M6 to something capable of giving me more air than the current Maggie can provide IF I decide to slap an LSX or some derivative in this baby sometime down the road.
This all started with belt slippage issues that we attempted to fix last December. Come to find out I was giving up ~ 90 HP due to slippage. My first shot at a fix was to install a JRE Supertensioner which you can easily see in these first two pictures. The tensioner worked by the way until about 2 months later when I shredded the serpentine belt. I will have to document this build with a number of updates but I will start here until I have time to add more. If you are interested in this build then keep checking back and I will have more to tell about the progress soon.

I was at 12-13 psi which was about all the Maggie could do.
I will continue on with the story. I took the car to G-Force and they immediately noticed that the supertensioner was not set correctly. While I was there we began discussing future options for increasing horsepower. I currently have two limiting factors - a stock bottom end and maxed out air supply. The main mechanic began beating the F-1X drum but we also discussed the new TVS-2650 that will soon be coming out. The shop owner was pretty much against the Procharger F-1X at first because he said it was a full race set-up and I would have to upgrade the block before we could go that route. Hands down we all knew that the Procharger was capable of easily supporting 25 psi and > 1200 RWHP. When the shop owner called Procharger he found that they have made a number of improvements recently and the F-1X can be slowed way down to produce ~ 15 psi. After much contemplation I decided to go with the cog drive Procharger F-1X and the 1300 HP air to air intercooler upgrade. Here is a pic of the tear down: More to come!

The next big decision I had to make was which intake manifold to go with. I started looking at polished sheet metal intakes that ranged from $600 - $5000. There is another thread somewhere here where a Holley sheet metal intake manifold has been tested, etc., but the bottom line is that a butt ugly stock LS3 manifold will support 1200 HP with ease. During my research I found where various issues occur with the sheet metal type intakes due to having short runners so they will fit under the hood. The big struggle I had was dealing with taking that big chrome Maggie off the top of the engine and then replacing it with that ugly black LS3 manifold. Soooo after a bit of research I decided to go with the stock LS3 manifold but I shipped it to H2O Printers in Houston to be hydro dipped inferno orange/carbon fiber. Here is the result, it turned out maybe a little darker than I had expected but it definitely looks better than stock!

$300 for the hydro dip. It is good to 285F with a short spike to 300F.

Thanks for coming aboard
So I don't really know where I will end up after this build, but here is what the shop is thinking. We don't plan to make a lot of extra HP because the stock bottom end just wont take it. We may possibly see 820-840 RWHP after this change, but what we do expect to see is higher MPH at the trap. Right now I am getting about 134-135 mph trap speed but the Maggie pretty much lays over at the top end. Since the F-1X is a centri it will sort of spool up as you increase rpm and the shop is expecting to see a significant mph gain at the top end. Guess we will see. Here are a couple of runs on the Maggie.

I suppose it has taken a while for me to state my overall goal with this change to the F-1X, but here it is . . . a street registered M6 that will break into the 9's. I am currently sitting at #5 on the "Anything Goes" street registered M6 Fastlist with a 10.54. Right now the #1 spot on the list is a 10.1 so I have a bit of work to do.
I did make one minor suspension change since that 10.54 I ran last December that I have not tested (Lakewood 90/10 front shocks), but with the F-1X if I can pick up a little MPH on the top end while still managing a 1.5-1.6 sec 60' then I may be able to improve my position on the list with this new setup. I don't think I will be able to break into the 9's without changing the block, but when and if that ever happens then I will be shooting for some crazy HP in the ~1200 range.

By the way, I will take this opportunity to give a big shout out to G-Force Motorsports in Pearland, Tx. These guys know their stuff and do excellent work. I have been using them for 4 plus years now and I highly recommend them if you live in the Houston area. They may not be the cheapest folks in town to get the work done, but they will be the best. These guys not only build but they race too and have been doing it for a long time, and they know what it will take to meet your goals.

For your goals a D1X or F1A-94 would have been better. A F1X at only 800whp is gonna be lazy.
