Arrow 2020 - Best Brake Upgrade

Hey Guys,

I read a lot about brake upgrade kits for the Camaro SS. I Have a 2011 Convertible Automatic running 20" Z28 spec wheels with a Tune, Headers, Cat Delete, CAI, Catback, Throttle body, Sway Bars, Poly Bushings, Strut Brace etc.

I am considering either the Genuine ZL1 Front & Rear Upgrade package (a little steep) or the CTS-V Upgrade Kit (Who all offers this currently??)

I would prefer to stick with OEM/Brembo options as I dont wan't to experiment with anything non OEM with brakes!

Look into the C7 Corvette Z06/Grand Sport caliper they are cheaper than the ZL1 and also come with vented pistons. Now rotors will be a issue unless you can source a set of somebodies junk rotors and use a set of KNS/DBA rotors for the Z06/GS. Or find a set of OEM ZL1’s about 300’ish per rotor. Also there’s a set of Brembo rotors for less than 175.

You can get 6 piston CTSV2 calipers for under $300.00 each from Auto Zone 249.00 plus 47.00 core charge

You also get your choice of 3 colors Silver Yellow or Red

Rotors are about 75 bucks each

You do not need rear brakes as your 4 piston rears are the same as a ZL1s
