Sunroof should be standard - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I see 10 Camaros in my area, 2SS, 1SS etc...but none with sunroof option. That's such a selling point why would they NOT include it on all 2SS models?

I have the sunroof on mine, but it comes at a price. The "inverse mohawk" styling is given up for a flat roof with the sunroof, and it adds a bit of weight too. Definitely should not be standard, but they are a cool feature to have.

A lot of people like the reverse mohawk which gets eliminated with the sunroof....If they ordered their cars then maybe that's why (or they didn't have the $900 extra!)

I personally love my sunroof and don't really pay attention to the roof of the car to even notice if the style's changed at all....

If you see 10 in your area and none have a sun roof, then it must not be all that big a selling point.

I wouldn't want a sun roof on mine. If it were standard I would be looking at a mustang or challenger instead.

If you want the sun on your head, get the convertible and skip the sunroof altogether.

I sat down in one with a sun roof for a minute...didn't like the way it tickled the top of my head.

I'm glad its not standard, I dont like them. Not for the looks, or the reduced headroom or the extra heat from the sun getting into the car.

The sunroof has to be the most polarizing feature in the Camaro. That includes the V6/V8 discussion and the manual/automatic discussion. Haha.

The sunroof takes up about 2-3 inches of headroom real estate that most tall people cannot afford to lose. That is a good reason why it is not standard.

Plus, GM (and every other car manufacturer for that matter) wants you to pay extra for it.

PS: I will not have one.

We like the sunroof, although the headroom is hampered a bit. If they had a convertible, we'd have had that instead though.

But to each their own. If you don't like the sunroof or just trying to save the extra 900 bills, then the car is great even without a sunroof. JMO.
