Out with the Old, In with the ...Orange [COTW 11/11/13]
Okay, after all the battles (mostly lost) trying to tune the LLT, I have offically given up. We started working on seeing what it would take to get the ECU from a 2012 to work with the LLT, but it was just too big a project. So...
Today I took ownership of a 2012 2LT/RS LFX. Ryan has already connected to it with EFI Live and is working with them on a few tweaks for the transmission connectivity. The plan is to do some base pulls and then let them develop a stock tune. After that we will start the twin turbo build anew. Right now Ryan's taking all the good parts off my car to swap what we can. I'll post a link to my classified ad for the parts I can use (like ported heads, ported intake manifold, shorty headers, intake isolator, etc..), so keep an eye out for that you LLT guys. And now for some pics of the new ride. --------------------------------------------------------------- Build Summary BorgWarner EFR turbos Wiseco Forged Pistons with 10:1 compression ratio R&R Forged Rods ZL1 in-tank pump, stock high-pressure pump Custom GPI fuel enrichment system 4000 stall Circle D single-disk converter GPI/Rhino tuned Shahan Racing custom intake Shahan Racing roll cage BMR suspension Built, Maintained and constantly Perfected by GPI 647 RWHP @ 6400 RPM 726 RWTQ @ 3750 RPM http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=787 ...in search of a new transmission.

...and now the secret is out!!
Congrats Derrick...that is one fine lookin machine there. How are you enjoying the upscale interior and the LFX engine? Probably hard for you to directly compare the 2012 to your 2010 since it is so modified. At least you won't have to deal with Vince any longer and tunes should come much easier hopefully!

HOLY CRAP!
Yeah I know what you mean about the tuning issue but all of the work that I've done to my car I just don't think I could do it. Congrats, can't wait to monitor your build!

The interior is a very nice upgrade to the 2010. I also went without the sunroof so I won't have to lean the seat way back when I have my helmet on.

Remember, I'm going for more power than most of you guys. We just needed to be able to see the logs and tune it ourselves.

We are swapping everything from the tranny back on to the 2012 and putting the new LLT I was going to build into this one. All the suspension parts as well as the wheels/tires are of course going to be swapped. We are also going to do some custom striping, ala the COPO, so SIXJAK wasn't far off I guess.

Well I will say, I'm happy to see you stuck it out and stayed with a V6 and didn't just trade up to the SS. I think I may have taken the dark path to eight cylinders if I was in your shoes

No, not ready to bail on that just yet. I'm still keeping my eye out on for that perfect C6 Z06 though.
